Historic buildings take constant time, effort, and resources to maintain. From leaks over the Ark to vigilance about our Torahs, it is a challenge just to stand still! Your gift will pave the way for regular maintenance of our synagogue building, our social building nearby known as Lilienfeld House, and our two historic cemeteries.
But our congregation is about more than buildings and places. It is about people and programs.
During the pandemic, we invested time and money to bring outstanding Shabbat services to our congregation, and the world, through Zoom. This is continuing even as the health of our community has improved.
Our adult education programs are a vital part of our congregation. So is our fledgling religious school. We observe and celebrate all major Jewish holidays, even during the pandemic. And our congregation is a vital part of our community. We have taken the lead on programs that honor outstanding high school students, and provide books and resources to local social services agencies.
